(Senior) Software Engineer (All Genders) - Merck

In this Analytics Architect role, you design and deliver scalable data and AI solutions to power smarter work practices across the organization. You’ll join a cross-border team delivering analytics and data products within a product-oriented delivery model. You’ll own data platforms, promote governance and security, and translate business needs into technical solutions. The role spans diverse AI use cases, including automation and procurement intelligence, contributing to a global, innovative data culture.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platform components
• Develop interfaces that replace manual processes with intuitive experiences
• Own data platforms with focus on governance, security, and full lifecycle compliance
• Collaborate with delivery pod stakeholders to shape technical direction
• Shape future data engineering within Enabling Functions leveraging Snowflake, AWS, and Palantir Foundry
• Contribute to a Spain-based hub and high-visibility AI use cases across organization
• 4–8 years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments
• Proficiency in Python and Spark
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and automated testing
• Hands-on with Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, and PySpark
• Understanding of data pipeline architecture, data governance, privacy, and security in enterprises
• Strong communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• University degree or equivalent in a technical field
• Willingness to work in a distributed international team and travel in Europe
• Familiarity with AI workflows, MLOps, AI safety, or CI/CD for AI is a plus
