Bg Engineering & Development Design Professional - - Opmobility

In this role you will translate customer specifications into robust product designs and CAD data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design quality, feasibility, and transition to manufacturing. You will drive design reviews, manage CAD data and documentation, and support tooling and validation activities. This is an opportunity to shape exterior systems and powertrain-related components for safer, more sustainable mobility at a global innovator.

• Interpret customer specifications and translate them into design solutions
• Manage CAD resources and ensure alignment with PODS and technical standards
• Develop and validate 3D models, 2D drawings, and part attributes in the CAD database (TDM)
• Coordinate with CAD office and Tier 2 suppliers on data exchanges and validation
• Lead Design Reviews and implement actions;

  maintain action plans and timing for CAD data
• Collaborate with Injection & Tooling Engineer to optimize part design for tool feasibility
• Support tuning phase activities, fixture validation, and sample manufacturing for validation
• Update CAD data and reference systems as the project evolves
• Provide 3D data and functional specs to suppliers;
  validate supplier designs and drawings
• Report progress to EPM and capture design lessons learned
• Engineering Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
• Strong CAD skills (native CAD construction) and 3D data analysis with a 3D Viewer
• BOM CAD Data Management and PMI to OEM/PO specifications (GD&T aware)
• Knowledge of tolerance stack-up, drawing creation (2D/3D), and PD design for manufacturing xcskxlj
• Understanding of Injection tooling principles and assembly/packaging considerations
• Experience with data exchanges, project documentation, and design validation processes
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and maintain stress resistance
