Senior Platform Software Engineer - Preply

As a Software Platform Engineer at Preply, you will own the availability and performance of mission-critical services while expanding platform tooling and automation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve scalability, observability, and incident response, shaping core services used by production traffic. The role blends software engineering with cloud infrastructure in a dynamic, supportive environment that values growth andMentorship. • Improve scalability, observability, and alerting of the system
• Build tooling to enhance the platform and accelerate software development
• Practice blameless postmortems and sustain incident response
• Collaborate with product teams to tackle technical issues and design new systems
• Strengthen the team's credibility through high-quality technical execution
• Follow FinOps practices
• Participate in on-call rotation across the team
• Extensive experience (~8 years) in designing, building, maintaining and troubleshooting high-traffic distributed systems
• Proficient software engineering skills with strong coding in one or more languages (preferably Python)
• Experience with at least one major public cloud and its services (preferably AWS)
• Experience implementing observability and alerting
• Willingness to participate in paid on-call rotations
• Business orientation and data-driven approach
• Nice to have: knowledge of modern web frameworks; SQL and relational DBs
