IT Systems and Infrastructure Technician

• Maintain and provide support for the systems and applications used for the company’s digitalization, including operating systems, application installation and configuration, and handling user incidents.
• Prepare and update user manuals for applications and tools, facilitating their proper use by employees.
• Manage and monitor system, application and digital document backups, ensuring their proper operation through the necessary follow-up.
• Manage the digital document management platform, including the creation and configuration of sites, access management and monitoring of its use.
• Maintain and manage the company’s hardware infrastructure, including servers, computer equipment, mobile devices, telephony and other infrastructure components.
• Manage the hardware infrastructure and associated cloud services, monitoring their operation and identifying needs.
• Analyze hardware requirements and support the evaluation of budgets and functionalities of proposed solutions.
• Keep the equipment and device inventory up to date, ensuring proper control and monitoring of technological assets.
• Contribute to system security by maintaining the necessary hardware and software security tools, monitoring security incidents and raising user awareness of cybersecurity.
• Handle and resolve technical user incidents, providing support and follow-up until resolution or escalation when necessary.
• Advise users on matters related to the use and application of the btd external brand.
• Maintain ongoing communication and coordination with the Systems Administrator, reporting relevant incidents, needs and actions.

Requirements

• Higher Vocational Training (Advanced Vocational Training) in Computer Science, Systems, Telecommunications or related fields. Other technical qualifications related to the position will also be considered.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in systems, IT infrastructure, hardware or technical support.
• Knowledge of hardware and systems infrastructure, including servers, computer equipment, devices and firewalls.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools.
• Knowledge of the management and maintenance of operating systems, applications and user support tools.
• Knowledge of digital document management, backups, cloud services and cybersecurity will be considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in office productivity tools.
• English and/or French proficiency. Knowledge of either of these languages will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to efficiently resolve technical incidents and problems.
• User-oriented approach and ability to provide support to different profiles within the organization.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently when managing tasks and respond appropriately to high-pressure situations.
