Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Infectious Diseases

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to critical research in Infectious Diseases within their state-of-the-art laboratory in Queenstown. This fellowship focuses on investigating novel mechanisms of pathogen resistance, host-pathogen interactions, and the development of new therapeutic or preventative strategies. You will conduct independent research, contribute to grant writing, and mentor junior researchers, working within a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute advanced research projects focused on understanding infectious disease mechanisms and developing novel interventions.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with a strong publication record.

• Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques, cell-based assays, and data analysis software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
