Health and Safety International Lead

We are Applus+ Laboratories, the division of the Applus+ Group that provides testing, certification, and product development engineering services. Currently we are growing and seeking an experienced Health and Safety International Lead to join our team in Bellaterra (Barcelona). This role will be crucial in ensuring workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of health and safety across all our sites. Key responsibilities will include: * Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and initiatives that protect employees, contractors, and visitors while ensuring compliance with local and international safety regulations * Coordinate the implementation of those programs and actions in the different sites (mainly at an European level) * Establish safety policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with regulatory requirements * Develop and maintain emergency response plans and evacuation procedures * Conduct thorough workplace risk assessments and hazard identification studies * Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and control measures * Lead comprehensive incident investigations including accidents, near-misses, and occupational illnesses * Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health * Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational safety and health engineering in the industrial sector * Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proactive and dynamic attitude * Proficient in English and Spanish * Availability to travel when required We offer: * Full-time permanent contract * Flexible working hours * Flexible compensation plan (medical insurance, transportation, childcare and restaurants) * Employees’ parking * Canteen with reduced prices
