Madrid - Workday Financials Functional Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement to understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, and demonstrate configurations through prototype systems.
• Conduct workshops with large and medium global/local organizations to analyze requirements for accounting, procurement‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash, banking and settlements, business assets, and financial reporting.
• Design, prototype, configure, test, and deliver the Workday platform while representing the "voice of the customer" and keeping end‑user needs central in design and deployment decisions.
• Provide status reports, keep the Engagement Manager informed of overall project status, and ensure delivery of assigned work.
• Offer subject‑matter expertise on key business process decisions related to industry and functional areas.
• Support Workday operations by suggesting monitoring, recommending best practices, identifying improvement metrics, and enforcing data and process standards.
• Actively contribute to the Workday Community, share expertise, request enhancements, and participate in user groups.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (MBA desirable).
• Strong understanding of enterprise business processes and financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and consultative skills.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically, prioritizing problem solving.
• Constant desire to acquire knowledge and enthusiasm for teamwork.
• Fluent in English (Spanish or French is a plus).
• Experience in Workday implementation is preferred but entry‑level candidates are welcome.
