About Our Client

Our client is a fast-growing organisation operating at the intersection of industry, technology and data-driven asset optimisation. The company is building a next-generation platform that integrates sourcing, operations and distribution, leveraging digital tools and analytics to unlock value across the asset lifecycle. With a strong entrepreneurial vision and ambitious growth plans, the organisation is now looking to appoint a General Manager to lead a key business unit, with full ownership of strategy, execution and financial performance.

Job Description

• Build and scale a high-quality pipeline of acquisition and commercial opportunities, developing strategic relationships across multiple industry stakeholders.
• Leverage data, analytics and digital tools to assess opportunities, define pricing strategies and optimise decision‑making.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operations, driving efficiency across logistics, refurbishment workflows and quality control through structured and scalable processes.
• Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies, combining pricing, channel strategy and digital capabilities to maximise revenue and margins.
• Implement tech‑enabled operational frameworks, improving traceability, performance monitoring and automation.
• Lead and grow cross‑functional teams across sourcing, operations and sales, fostering a high‑performance and entrepreneurial culture.
• Own the full P&L, ensuring disciplined execution and continuous performance improvement.
• Define and track data‑driven KPIs (unit economics, margins, inventory rotation, service levels), embedding a culture of accountability and continuous optimisation.

The Successful Applicant

• Strong experience in asset‑intensive, industrial, logistics or marketplace environments, ideally within fast‑paced or high‑growth contexts.
• Proven track record managing P&L responsibility and leading teams in complex, execution‑driven environments.
• Exposure to digital transformation, data analytics or technology‑enabled business models (TIC mindset).
• Entrepreneurial profile with experience in building, scaling or transforming businesses, ideally in startup or scale‑up environments.
• High level of ownership and ability to operate in ambiguous, evolving environments, combining strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
• Strong capability to leverage data for decision‑making and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
