We are looking for an Senior Accounting & Tax Specialist responsible for accounting and reporting for Mölnlycke Spain, Italy, and Portugal. If you have a passion for delivering results, this position could be a great opportunity for you

Location

Madrid office

You’ll make a significant contribution in the following areas:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in line with local GAAP and Group policies, including reconciliation between frameworks.
- Submit monthly reporting and disclosures into Group reporting channels.
- Ensure timely and accurate legal reporting.
- Prepare and submit statutory financial statements, income tax returns, VAT, and other regulatory filings for all the 3 countries in scope.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and reporting quality, working with shared business service teams.
- Implement and maintain the Group internal control framework and key controls within the entity.
- Act as primary contact for auditors and authorities; coordinate audits and ensure compliance.
- Prepare tax packs, analyze permanent and temporary differences, and apply country-specific adjustments.
- Ensure reconciliations and true ups of all balance sheet accounts; resolve aged items promptly.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and reporting quality.

What you will need:

- Academic degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting roles or audit/public accounting within international companies.
- Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, tax compliance, and group consolidation.
- Experience with advanced accounting issues and closing processes.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Spanish. Italian will be a plus.
- Highly IT literate; ideally with knowledge of SAP, group reporting tools and Excel.
