Senior PostgreSQL Database Specialist (fmd)

What you will do:

• Act as the main point of contact for PostgreSQL topics within the Database Services team

• Define and improve best-practice configurations for PostgreSQL environments on Azure

• Operate support and optimize PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server solutions

• Collaborate with Operations Development and Business teams to identify and resolve performance issues

• Contribute to database improvements across the full software development lifecycle

• Drive monitoring alerting and incident resolution processes to strengthen system stability and performance

What you bring & who you are:

• Several years of experience managing PostgreSQL environments ideally on Azure

• Experience with database performance tuning monitoring and high-availability solutions

• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and ideally exposure to other database technologies such as Oracle

• Familiarity with DevOps principles automation tools or scripting technologies such as PowerShell

• Strong analytical and communication skills with a collaborative mindset

• Fluent English skills; ideally you also have a good level of Spanish
