Storyboard - Supervisor

At 3 Doubles Producciones, we are looking for a Storyboard Supervisor FREELANCE who wants to make a mark on every frame. We need someone who combines master storytelling with strong leadership, and who knows how to inspire their team to achieve exceptional sequences.

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Define, develop, and maintain the overall narrative and visual rhythm of the project alongside the Director and Key Creatives.
• Lead and mentor the storyboard team, translating complex script sequences into clear, dynamic, and emotional visual solutions.
• Oversee camera direction, framing, character blocking, and sequence timing, ensuring a seamless roadmap for downstream departments like Layout and 3D Animation.
• Assign tasks strategically, manage department workloads, and establish delivery schedules using tools like FlowTrack to hit production milestones without sacrificing quality.
• Review panels and animatics, providing clear, constructive feedback and hands-on guidance to keep retakes low and standards high.
• Collaborate closely with Scriptwriters, Art, and Production to solve story issues early and keep the visual narrative aligned.
• Foster continuous workflow improvements within the department, optimizing tools like Toon Boom Storyboard Pro and Photoshop.

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience as a Lead or Senior Storyboard Artist in 3D animation (minimum 5+ years of experience or 3+ completed feature/series projects, with prior experience in team management).
• Expert mastery of Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, Photoshop…
• Exceptional drawing speed, anatomy, perspective, and composition skills, paired with a deep understanding of cinematic language, editing, and staging.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills (additional languages are a plus).
• True leadership: ability to inspire, guide less experienced artists, resolve narrative blocks, and maintain team cohesion under tight deadlines.
• Strategic vision, emotional intelligence, and high stress-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
