Test Engineer M&E Compressor

The compressor test engineer will perform testing on mechanical and electrical compressors for the automotive industry. These tests may be long‑and short‑term durability tests or performance data gathering, to in‑field vehicle tests. The test engineer must ensure the data reliability of the tests completed by ensuring test equipment is calibrated and operating in the correct manner, analysis of the test data by deep data analysis, utilizing Excel, Diadem etc. The data then must be presented to the test requestor for review and further analysis. International liaison with other engineering sites and production facilities may be a part of the tasks.

Your Contribution

• Ensure all customer confidentiality requirements are met and continually adhered to.
• Comply with all local safety requirements and maintain a clean, orderly storage and working area.
• Mechanical fixing test compressors to the test equipment to run the desired tests.
• Installing and maintaining air conditioning systems into the test equipment, this will include welding, machining and modifying vehicle AC lines or manufacturing new ones.
• Following the test requirements and reporting structure as required.
• Continual improvement processes on the test equipment and within the test laboratory.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum educational background HNC, BTEC-Meas Eng, BAC+3 Technical, Formation Professional.
• English required, German strong asset, Spanish and French considered.
• Good electrincal understanding, mechanical competence, Kowledgeable with PC's, email and MS Office applications.
• Refrigerant handling training F-GAS to J-11 level preferred.
• Quality control processes.
• Experience of air conditioning is desired- Vehicle AC in particular.
