Associate Electrical Engineer – Data Centres | Madrid, SpainI’m currently working with a leading international engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Electrical Engineer to join its growing team in Madrid.The role will focus predominantly on the design and delivery of large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects across Spain and wider European markets.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who is ready to take on greater technical, project and team leadership responsibility while working on some of the most complex and technically demanding projects in the built environment.As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in leading the electrical design and delivery of projects from early concept and feasibility through detailed design, construction and commissioning.Your responsibilities will include:• Leading the electrical design and technical delivery of major data centre projects• Developing resilient and highly available electrical infrastructure for mission-critical environments• Working across MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, standby generation, transformers, switchgear, lighting, earthing and critical power systems• Reviewing calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation• Coordinating electrical services with mechanical, structural and architectural disciplines• Working directly with clients, contractors, developers and other project stakeholders• Managing project deliverables, programmes and technical quality• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers within the team• Supporting the continued growth of the consultancy’s data centre capability in Spain and across EuropeThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical building services / MEP engineering, ideally gained within an engineering consultancy environment.Previous data centre experience would be highly advantageous, although engineers with strong experience across other technically complex or mission-critical sectors will also be considered.You should be comfortable taking ownership of projects, working directly with clients and providing technical leadership to engineering teams.Madrid, SpainInternational Engineering ConsultancyData Centres / Mission CriticalMajor projects across Spain and EuropeAssociate-level position with long-term progressionWith continued investment in data centre infrastructure across Europe, this is a great time to join a consultancy that is actively expanding its presence within the sector. xcskxlj If you’re an experienced Electrical Engineer in Madrid – or considering a move to Spain – and would like to hear more about the opportunity, send me a message on LinkedIn for a confidential conversation.
