The Hoxton is a series of open‑house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. We are opening a new hotel in Madrid, located centrally on Plaza de Santa Ana, with 192 guestrooms, an open‑plan lobby with all‑day coffee, rooftop bar Cayo Coco, Italian restaurant Bambini Club, and The Apartment – our signature meeting and event space.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the business to support and advise on team needs.
• Implement and manage policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with local employment law.
• Position the brand as an employer of choice through recruitment strategies, building a talent pool and succession planning.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop career paths and work with Director of L&D.
• Embed Hoxton values, promote a fair, safe and inclusive environment, and lead initiatives that engage and empower staff.
• Drive talent review processes from coffee chats to annual reviews and career management.
• Lead activities under “Do More”, the global initiative to work with local charities and community projects.
• Support managers with employee relations and performance management cases.
• Work on European/Global projects and rollouts, contributing ideas and solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in human resources within the hospitality industry.
• Experience recruiting high‑volume talent or opening a hotel a plus.
• Knowledge of UK and local employment law.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to handle legal and performance issues.
• Passion for hospitality and a positive impact on people.
• Collaborative, high‑energy personality, open to doing things differently.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, inclusive setting.
