Communications Director

The role will be primarily responsible for designing and executing the Louis Vuitton Mediterranean communication strategy, ensuring the brand’s leadership position and continuously elevating its desirability, always in alignment with regional business objectives.

The communication director will work closely with regional leadership and cross-functional teams to elevate Louis Vuitton's brand image through innovative communication strategies. Maximizing the potential of the brand in the Mediterranean region (including Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Greece, Turkey, Israel and Kazakhstan) based on the global and EMEA vision.

A strong knowledge of communications and PR is key, national media networks and local contacts, monitor emerging trends and cultural shifts, tailoring communication strategies to stay relevant and appealing to new and existing luxury consumers.

Job responsabilities

• Define and oversee the execution of the Mediterranean communication strategy based on global / EMEA direction and ensuring an alignment with regional business strategy.
• Lead and mentor the Mediterranean communication team, fostering talent development, collaboration, and high performance across all projects and initiative
• Establish the paid media strategy in collaboration with global media team with a focus on performance.
• Set a 360° press strategy maintaining DMR leadership. Always ensuring a consistent Louis Vuitton presence on social media
• Work in close coordination with global talent teams to implement celebrity and influence strategies in Mediterranean region.
• Determine and manage the regional PR budget based on global and EMEA recommendations.
• Manage the communication agencies across the region, including Portugal Turkey and Greece. Setting KPIs based on brand awareness and business needs, monitoring the results.
• Partner with HO cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Client Development, Digital, Finance, Retail Development etc) to ensure consistent alignment across all channels
• Work closely with Client development department on the organization of local events, store openings, in-store activities, or any regional events including, but not limited to, image events, brand partnerships and retail events.
• Liaise directly with Mediterranean retail stores, and teams to properly align on all seasonal directives, business goals, and KPIs.
• Responsible for effectively sharing communication results across the organization to support clienteling efforts and drive sales.

Profile

• 10+ years’ related experience with a focus on leading PR, communications and media activities for a retail organization.
• Experience working with luxury brands is a plus
• Previous experience working in an international environment is a plus.
• Proven experience managing events such as store openings etc.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills: ability to develop and maintain relationships with business partners across several business matrices (i.e. local vs HQ, cross functional within brand, locally across LVMH as appropriate)
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.
• Intellectual curiosity for fashion, culture, arts, and craft.
• Strong knowledge of digital platforms & social tools.
• Highly agile and able to execute while dealing with ambiguity.
• Strong presentation and reporting skills in Spanish & English
• Ability to travel when required.
