You are a strategic leader who balances deep technical vision with exceptional people leadership, serving as a player-coach to drive the automation of complex global payment processes. Your mission is to strengthen our payments engine by integrating AI-driven advancements and scaling resilient, distributed systems that move hundreds of millions daily.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyStrategic Oversight: Manage the activities of specific teams, setting clear priorities and ensuring execution aligns with functional strategy and business trends.Team Development: Responsible for performance management, professional development, and hiring to optimize team capability within budget.Resource Allocation: Independently determine approaches to daily operations and resource management to support multiple product lines.Engineering ExcellenceSystem Evolution: Drive modern architecture by providing long-term technical direction for reliable, performant, and scalable distributed systems.AI & Automation: Design workflow orchestration and decision support systems leveraging AI to optimize compliance and risk mitigation.Quality Governance: Establish high standards through thorough design reviews and sustainable engineering practices like TDD and CI/CD.Cross-Functional CollaborationStakeholder Alignment: Partner with Product, QA, and SRE to align technical roadmaps with business outcomes and product strategy.Global Influence: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and senior engineers across the global organization to refine infrastructure requirements.QualificationsHere’s What We’re Looking For:Management Experience3+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, with a proven track record in performance management and hiring.Technical Foundations7+ years of software engineering experience focusing on high-availability production systems and distributed architecture.
