The indirect tax landscape is evolving rapidly as governments worldwide introduce mandatory E-Invoicing, e-reporting and more real-time digital tax controls. Tax is increasingly becoming a technology-enabled function, requiring close collaboration between Tax, Finance, IT and Shared Service organizations.

As an Indirect Tax & Technology Advisor, with a reporting line to the Indirect Tax & Technology Director, you will:

• 
  
• support indirect tax compliance, transformation and digitalization initiatives across EMEA and APAC
  
• help translate VAT/GST requirements into practical business processes and technology-enabled solutions
  

Role positioning

This is a development-oriented advisor role for a technically minded indirect tax professional with approximately 3-5 years of experience. The role supports strategic tax technology projects but is not expected to independently lead global implementations or own end-to-end solution design.

ABOUT YOU

You are an ambitious indirect tax professional with approximately 3-5 years of experience gained in a Big 4, multinational or consulting environment. You have a strong foundation in indirect tax and are interested in how technology, data and ERP systems can support compliance and business processes.

You are eager to further build your expertise in tax technology, SAP and digital compliance initiatives while working alongside experienced tax and technology professionals. You enjoy working in an international setting and collaborating with stakeholders across Finance, IT, Shared Services and the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  
• Support the Indirect Tax & Technology team in providing high-quality indirect tax advice across EMEA and APAC.
  
• Assist in monitoring changes in indirect tax legislation, E-Invoicing and e-reporting requirements and help assess potential impacts on business processes.
  
• Support the translation of indirect tax requirements into business and system requirements for SAP and related technologies.
  
• Participate in indirect tax, ERP and digital transformation projects under the supervision of senior team members.
  
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of tax-related functionality within SAP and/or other tax technology solutions.
  
• Support testing activities associated with SAP enhancements, tax determination changes and compliance reporting requirements.
  
• Contribute to E-Invoicing, e-reporting and digital reporting projects across multiple jurisdictions.
  
• Assist with tax audits by preparing analyses, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
  
• Work closely with Finance, Shared Services, IT and external advisors to support indirect tax compliance and process improvements.
  
• Help identify opportunities for automation, standardization and process efficiencies.
  
• Prepare presentations, training materials and communications relating to indirect tax and technology developments.
  

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education

• 
  
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  

Experience

• 
  
• Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience within indirect tax, VAT/GST advisory, tax compliance or tax transformation (preferable gained in a Big 4 firm or multinational corporation).
  

Technical skills

• 
  
• Good understanding of VAT/GST principles and indirect tax compliance requirements.
  
• Up to date with key international Indirect Tax developments (SAF-T, E-Invoicing/E-reporting, Deposit Tax,…)
  
• Ability to translate business and tax requirements into practical recommendations.
  
• Practical SAP experience and good MS office skills

• Eagerness to learn and develop new technical and business skills.

Languages

• Additional languages such as Spanish, French, Italian, German or Polish would be considered an advantage.
