About the role:

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our Data Analytics & AI Services Team, team responsible for operating and continuously enhancing Jungheinrich’s central data platform, enabling analytics and AI use cases across the entire organization. Responsibilities:

• Build and operate scalable data pipelines and reusable data products on Azure and Databricks
• Help develop and operate Jungheinrich’s central data platform
• Work across the full data engineering lifecycle, from data integration and transformation to deploying and operating data products
• Integrate and process a broad range of enterprise data, IoT data and unstructured data
• Develop data transformations and data models using Python, PySpark and SQL
• Contribute to solution architecture, system design and data engineering standards
• Ensure reliable production operations through testing and monitoring
• Work closely with AI Engineers, Data Analysts and business users across functions such as Sales, After Sales, Finance, Automation and Technology
• Turn business requirements into sustainable, reusable data solution

Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may also be considered
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a similar role
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Hands-on experience with Azure and Databricks, or equivalent technologies on other cloud platforms
• Experience building and operating data pipelines and data products, ideally as part of a data team
• Experience with data modelling and CI/CD in a cloud environment
• Interest in solution architecture and system design
• Experience applying data quality, security and governance principles
• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
• Experience with streaming and event-driven data processing
