Senior Cryogenic & Mechanical Systems EngineerAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Cryogenic & Mechanical Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration and improvement of cryogenic and mechanical systems for advanced scientific hardware.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving system reliability and creating engineering standards that enable scalable, repeatable deployments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the cryogenic and mechanical design of complex hardware systems.Develop thermal budgets and mechanical integration plans.Design and review mechanical components, fixtures and cable routing.Support installation, commissioning and maintenance of cryogenic systems.Troubleshoot thermal, mechanical and integration issues.Develop engineering documentation, procedures and design standards.Work with suppliers and external partners.Mentor junior engineers and support best engineering practices.RequirementsMSc, PhD or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Cryogenic Engineering, Applied Physics, Thermal Engineering or a related field.At least 5 years’ experience working with cryogenic, vacuum, thermal or scientific instrumentation systems.Strong understanding of thermal management, mechanical design and system integration.Experience using CAD software.Ability to troubleshoot complex engineering systems.Excellent documentation and communication skills.Fluent in English.If you are passionate about solving complex engineering challenges and want to work on advanced technologies, we would like to hear from you.Darwin Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.Shenaaz Ahmed
