We are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner - Proficientto join our Allied Health team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered PBS practitioner looking to further develop their clinical expertise while supporting people with disability to improve their quality of life through Positive Behaviour Support.

In this role youll manage a diverse caseload lead the development of behaviour support plans and work collaboratively with participants families carers and multidisciplinary teams to create sustainable positive change. Youll also have opportunities to mentor and supervise developing practitioners while continuing your own professional growth.

About the Role

As a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner you will:

• Manage a clinical caseload and deliver high-quality Positive Behaviour Support services.
• Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments to understand behaviours of concern and identify strategies that improve quality of life.
• Develop implement and review Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans in line with NDIS requirements.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions that support participants to achieve their goals and reduce the frequency and severity of behaviours of concern.
• Train and support families carers and support teams to successfully implement behaviour support strategies.
• Monitor outcomes and evaluate behaviour support strategies including reductions in restrictive practices and improvements in quality of life.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to Core Behaviour Support Practitioners where appropriate.
• Champion human rights choice control and inclusion in all aspects of practice.

What you will bring

You are an experienced Positive Behaviour Support practitioner who is passionate about supporting people with disability and delivering meaningful person-centred outcomes.

You will bring:

• Experience working as a Proficient Practitioner within the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Framework.
• Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and human rights-based practice.
• The ability to complete high-quality assessments and develop practical evidence-based support plans.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with participants families and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A genuine commitment to inclusion respect and empowering people with disability to live the life they choose.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• A tertiary qualification in Psychology Social Work Occupational Therapy Applied Behaviour Analysis Disability Health or a related discipline.
• Registration or eligibility for registration as a Proficient Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
• Previous experience working as a Core or Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Current National Police Check (and International Police Check if required).
• Current Australian Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
