Overview of the role

Project Manager – responsible for managing your own projects or workstreams on major infrastructure projects, including development, design stages, delivery, and handover.

Key responsibilities and duties

• Manage the development, design, delivery, and handover of built environment and infrastructure projects.
• Apply and follow project governance protocols.
• Develop and maintain a project management plan, ensuring projects are scoped to agreed objectives.
• Identify and deliver project deliverables, ensuring cost, time, and quality parameters are achieved.
• Coordinate with the H&S&W and CDM representatives to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Establish stakeholder and communication management processes, including mapping and reporting with statutory and technical assurance bodies.
• Collaborate with commercial, procurement, and project control functions to deliver projects within agreed parameters.
• Assess resource and competence levels of supply chain teams, taking required actions to ensure performance.
• Administer NEC contracts for professionals and contractors, ensuring contractually successful outcomes.

Candidate specification

• Essential:
  • Willingness to travel to Dublin weekly or bi‑weekly, with travel and accommodation covered.
  • Substantial project management experience across disciplines, procurement routes, and market sectors.
  • High commercial acumen and knowledge of planning and project controls.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a larger team.
  • Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, colleagues, and supply chain.
  • Flexible approach to work and openness to travel to client sites and other offices.
• Desirable:
  • Experience in the Spanish market.
  • Experience leading large project teams to successful outcomes.
  • Membership or progression toward APM (or PMI) qualification.
