About the role

We are looking for a Java Developer to join a multicultural engineering team working on a greenfield digital platform project.

You will help design, build, and evolve APIs and microservices from inception through production, contributing to modern backend architectures and cloud-native development practices.

This role is ideal for developers who enjoy building systems from scratch, collaborating in international environments, and working with modern Java ecosystems.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop APIs and backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot

• Contribute to a greenfield platform from early stages through production deployment

• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams in an agile environment

• Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows

• Contribute to API definition and documentation standards

• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and solution design

• Help improve engineering practices and delivery quality

What we’re looking for

• +5 years of professional experience in backend development

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Java 17 / 21

  • Spring Boot 3.x / 4.x

• Advanced knowledge of:

  • Git

  • REST APIs

  • OpenAPI

• Experience working with:

  • Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions

  • CI/CD practices

• Developer-level understanding of AI prompting concepts

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multicultural teams

• Curiosity, ownership mindset, and proactive problem-solving attitude

• English level C1 or higher – mandatory

Nice to have

• AWS experience

• Experience with AI Agent coding or AI-assisted development tools

• Experience building greenfield products or platforms

• Hybrid model available in:

  • Madrid

  • Barcelona

  • Málaga

  • Logroño

• Remote from other locations within Spain
