At Basque Culinary Center, we are looking for a Lecturer in Science and Technology to help develop our academic programmes and contribute to research and knowledge transfer projects related to Food Science and Technology.

Your main mission

As a member of our academic team, you will combine teaching with research activities, contributing to initiatives that connect science, the food industry, and gastronomy.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Co-designing and delivering teaching within our Master’s programmes in areas such as food quality, bromatology, instrumental analysis, and other disciplines related to Food Science and Technology.
• Designing, developing and implementing tailored training programmes on LMS platforms (Moodle or similar), including the creation of learning content, activities and assessment systems.
• Collaborating on research projects within the department.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts.
• A PhD in Food Science and Technology or a related discipline.
• Teaching experience in either formal or non-formal education.
• Experience in projects related to the food industry, gastronomy or culinary sciences.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage groups and build relationships in academic and professional environments.
• Experience supervising students in practical and experimental learning environments, such as laboratories.
• English proficiency at C1 level for teaching and professional communication.
