Senior Elixir Software Engineer

Overview Senior Elixir Software Engineer role partnering with a fast-growing AI-focused start-up reshaping how AI agents communicate with real-world business applications. You’ll help build the core of a real-time communication infrastructure, delivering low-latency, scalable backend systems and distributed architectures that enable AI-powered messaging between intelligent agents and enterprise environments.

Responsibilities Build and maintain core real-time backend services using Elixir, Phoenix, and LiveView.

Design scalable distributed architectures and low-latency messaging through Phoenix Channels / WebSockets.

Own production APIs, data models, and integration with PostgreSQL and Ecto.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy intelligent, production-ready solutions for AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, engineering, or similar area.

5+ years of production Elixir experience.

Strong expertise with Phoenix Framework and Phoenix LiveView.

Experience building real-time systems with Phoenix Channels / WebSockets.

Solid understanding of OTP principles and distributed systems.

Experience with PostgreSQL and Ecto.

Track record of building and scaling production APIs.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and distributed infrastructure.
