Commissioning Manager for HVDC (ES)

Experteer Overview In the HVDC Control Team at Siemens Energy you will plan, test, and commission HVDC systems on a global scale, ensuring quality and safety. You will lead an international team of commissioning engineers and collaborate with project management, engineering, and customers to deliver tailored HVDC solutions. The role focuses on on-site testing, FAT/FST, and continuous process improvements in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Compensaciones / Beneficios • Plan and execute tests and commissioning of HVDC systems on time, cost-effectively, and with high quality • Manage an international team of commissioning engineers • Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and occupational health and safety regulations • Organize Functional System Testing/Factory Acceptance Tests (FST/FAT) at test areas on site • Monitor, document, and communicate work progress, ensuring a smooth construction site process with suppliers and partners • Support project management in risk and claim management, ensuring quality and safety, and participate in internal improvement programs Responsabilidades • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or comparable technical education with relevant experience • At least 8 years of experience in commissioning or managing large plants (e.g., HVDC, power plants, switchgear, power distribution systems) • Willingness for worldwide business trips and long-term assignments on construction sites; offshore platform assignments optional • Basic knowledge of Project Management • Proficiency in English; German language skills are advantageous • Strong conflict management, decision-making, result orientation, motivation, and communication skills in international/intercultural teams Requisitos principales • Competitive compensation package • Flexible working time and reduced hours on Fridays/summer • Hybrid work policy • Meal allowance and flexible benefits plan • Self-driven development framework and continuous learning • International and cross-BU exposure
