At GXO, innovation creates value when it works on the warehouse floor. We are looking for an Automation Engineer to drive the deployment of automation and Adaptive Technology solutions across existing logistics operations in Spain. This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role, working at the intersection of engineering, operations and innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Assess existing warehouse operations to identify automation opportunities.
• Analyze processes, layouts and operational constraints in live environments.
• Design practical automation solutions adapted to real operational conditions.
• Collaborate with European Automation & Adaptive Technology teams and local engineering teams.
• Lead automation project execution on the warehouse floor from installation to go-live.
• Coordinate vendors and integrators during deployment and ramp‑up.
• Support stabilization and full handover to Operations (BAU).
• Capture lessons learned and share best practices across GXO sites.

What You BringEducation:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline.
• Project Management experience is a plus.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience deploying large-scale automation in logistics or operational environments.
• Proven on-site execution experience in live operations.

Skills & Mindset:

• Hands‑on, execution‑driven profile with strong shop‑floor presence.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into operational value.
• Structured, pragmatic and results‑oriented approach.
