Job Description

Senior Analyst will report to the Head of Portfolio Management and be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial models for projects primarily in the pipeline and occasionally on external opportunities. The role includes providing expected profitability figures for single assets and instrumentally performing the following:

• Estimation of project profitability for decision‑making purposes
• Evaluation of the pipeline for strategic planning and reporting
• Recommendations on project definition: technical solution, offtake selection and/or preferred financing structure

Key Challenges

• Adapt and maintain financial models to applicable taxation and regulations of the relevant geography or new business models
• Prepare financial models with proposed technical configurations to support optimal project definition
• Prepare financial models with different lending and/or offtake agreement proposals
• Report the expected profitability at the asset level
• Prepare sensitivity analysis for investment proposals
• Prepare and maintain input sheets and track supporting documentation
• Support participation in bid/auctions with focus on price recommendation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in financial modelling or the renewable energy industry
• Discounted Cash Flow modelling expertise
• Excel expert proficiency
• VBA (or other programming language)
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience in debt or PPA structuring is a plus
• Proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory; additional language (German, French or Italian) is a plus
