Job Description
We look for an analytical, communicative, and customer‑focused individual to support offline underwriting operations in Madrid. The role involves end‑to‑end support for offline business handled in the UWR Centre and language‑dependent tasks in the branch.
- Enter data into underwriting and related systems.
- Prepare bespoke certificates, conduct sanction checks, and manage broker contacts.
- Support project‑related tasks, quality assurance, and internal / external enquiries.
- Assist in credit control resolution.
This role reports directly to the Hub Team Leader.
Responsibilities
Process Management and Customer ServiceSupport rules‑based branch activities requiring language skills and technical ability.
Book premiums for all lines of business on system platforms within agreed SLAs.Prepare policy documentation within SLAs and quality standards.Provide operational support for offline business, demonstrating strong customer‑service skills.Manage broker queries related to offline business.Own centralized Operations QA and reporting processes.Manage credit control queries and conduct root‑cause analysis.Contribute to continuous process improvement.Manages manual processing fallouts and troubleshoot issues.Prepare underwriting files for renewal, ensuring audit compliance.Maintain accurate policy tracking and workflow tools.Develop and implement business processing tools as an SME, supporting UAT.Execute any other ad‑hoc duties assigned by the Team Leader.Service Delivery & Quality AdherenceMaintain data quality through accurate input.
Adhere to SLAs and ensure effective service delivery.Lead change through process ownership, system UATs, and project contact.Build strong working relationships with local teams and brokers.Adhere to Chubb information‑security and GDPR standards.Continuous ImprovementCollaborate across areas to improve practices and reduce rework.
Identify improvement opportunities and support Business Improvement Initiatives.Escalate problems proactively and use problem‑solving skills.Engage in process reviews to ensure operational excellence.Team InvolvementParticipate in regular team forums, meetings, and events, demonstrating strong communication skills.
Qualifications
Process‑orientation and strong analytical skills.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Fluent in English;proficiency in Europeanlanguages (German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch…) preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.Customer‑oriented attitude and strong service skills.High attention to detail and desire to deliver quality results.Problem‑solving ability and decisiveness.Ability to work independently and in a team.Previous experience in an underwriting support role and broader insurance background preferred.Minimum high‑school certificate.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Timeliness and execution in task completion.What We Offer In Return
