Satellite Platforms Product Owner

Descripción del trabajoWork closely with engineering, operations, marketing, and sales teams to gather requirements Act as the main point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders Manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with strategic goals Write and refine user requirements, performance targets, and technical specifications Oversee the full product lifecycle—from concept and development to launch, maintenance, and retirement Monitor product performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement Stay up to date on satellite technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation Proven experience as a technical leader in space systems across phases A to D (E is a plus) Strong understanding of satellite systems, subsystems, payloads (optical EO or PNT), and constellation operations Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence) Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills Experience with Earth observation, satellite communications, or GNSS systems Knowledge of ECSS standards and space sector compliance Understanding of MSA / RAMS applied to space systems Experience in tailoring standards to meet time, budget, and scope constraints Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Telecommunications, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in aerospace or high-tech industries Fluent English (spoken and written) Spanish is a plus Collaborative, proactive, and reliable Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage priorities and work in dynamic environments Willingness to travel occasionally and work across DEIMOS locations or customer sites

Our Platform Systems Engineering team leads the architectural definition and technical development of satellite systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and mission success. We’re looking for a strategic and technically skilled Product Owner to help shape the future of space-based solutions.
What’s the Challenge?
As a Satellite Platforms Product Owner , you will drive the development and lifecycle of satellite-based products and services. Acting as the bridge between business needs and technical execution, you’ll define product vision, manage priorities, and ensure that our solutions deliver maximum value to customers and stakeholders. You’ll collaborate across engineering, operations, and commercial teams to guide innovation and execution.
