Senior Scientist

Overview

Senior Scientist role at Hempel A / S. We are seeking a committed scientist with expertise in antifouling technologies, capable of hands-on lab work, cross-functional collaboration, and global project leadership. The role is stationed in Spain – Polinyà, reporting to the R&D Manager, Fuel Efficiency Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the antifouling coatings portfolio from an R&D perspective, ensuring regulatory compliance, market alignment, and driven positioning.
• Develop and test new coating prototypes, analyzing results to drive innovation and solve customer challenges.
• Handle raw materials by identifying, evaluating, and qualifying key components for antifouling and maintenance coatings, ensuring quality and sustainability.
• Collaborate globally with factories and stakeholders, especially in China, Malaysia, and the Emirates, to ensure successful project execution and knowledge sharing.
