Senior Railway Engineer

Overview We are looking for a Linear Infrastructures Design Engineer with experience in rail geometric design to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects either as standalone railway team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering railway designs for many years throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Enterprise Capabilities Center (Poland / Spain).

Responsibilities Work autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects within established procedures and practices related to linear infrastructures.

Independently prepare design calculations or reports related to railway elements (geometric design).

Perform railway engineering work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

Self-check work products prior to submission and participate in quality control reviews of documentation produced by junior staff.

Prepare project deliverables that are reviewed by senior team members.

Provide guidance to entry level engineers.

What were looking for Proven track record of working on railway designs (4 years).

Experience with international regulations and standards (e.g. AASHTO; AREMA; Australian Codes; British Standards) will be considered favorably.

Advanced level in geometric design and 3D modeling using Bentley OpenRoads / OpenRail Designer; PowerRail Track; Civil3D.

Advanced level in CAD software (preferably AutoCAD and / or MicroStation).

Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.

Fluent in English (oral and written).

Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering.

US and / or Australia Professional Engineer license will be considered favorably.
