Overview

Lead Site Reliability Engineer - Remote in Spain (€85,000)

I’m working with a global media technology company that supports major broadcasters and brands worldwide. They combine the stability of an established business with the agility of a scale-up, and they are now looking for a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen their international infrastructure team.

This role is a mix of hands-on engineering and team leadership. You’ll guide a group of 5–10 engineers across EMEA and APAC while remaining technically involved in AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineers, structuring workloads and encouraging collaboration across regions
• Stay hands-on with infrastructure as code (Terraform), automation (Ansible), Kubernetes (both on-prem and hosted), and AWS deployments
• Ensure smooth product deployments to customer environments, maintaining high levels of reliability and scalability
• Participate in and improve the on-call rota, helping to make it more sustainable and balanced
• Act as a technical leader, challenging priorities where needed and shaping operational best practice
