HireGlobal by Toptal makes it simple and cost-effective for US companies to hire, pay, and manage global talent. HireGlobal is a new business within Toptal, so this is an exciting opportunity to build something new with access to resources and know-how from our core platform. HireGlobal’s Senior Product Manager will be a key player driving progress and scaling the business, working closely with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Design to deliver scalable solutions for clients and workers worldwide. We take a data-driven and customer-first approach to ensure our roadmap delivers measurable business impact and a best-in-class user experience.

We’re looking for a self-starting Senior Product Manager to lead and drive progress across the board : expanding and refining HireGlobal’s product offering, supporting go-to-market efforts, and building out our internal tech stack to operate efficiently and effectively. Billing and payments experience will be critical to owning and scaling our product. You will partner closely with the GM to set the vision, prioritize the roadmap, and deliver high-impact outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead all aspects of an established agile team, including backlog grooming, triage, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Define the scope of new product features and ongoing improvements across web and desktop applications.
  • Write and prioritize user stories and define acceptance criteria.
  • Establish and maintain credibility with internal and external partners, including Finance, Legal, Support, and Sales teams.
  • Break down complex problems and use data and analytics, combined with user research, to inform product direction.
  • Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team.
  • Run ad-hoc research and business analyses to assess opportunities and risks.
  • Identify and solve complex product challenges that align with short-term goals and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Apply system-analyst techniques and consult with users to determine functional specifications.

First week

  • Onboard and integrate into Toptal while learning the product suite.
  • Become acquainted with your product area, goals, and partners.

    • First month

  • Work cross-functionally with Designers, Engineers, and senior stakeholders to organize and prioritize the high-level roadmap and backlog.
  • Collaborate with the development team and take over in-flight and planned initiatives.

    • First three months

  • Fully support HireGlobal’s product and complete quarterly planning.
  • Launch features that deliver high business impact, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Be embedded with and own a development team.
  • Monitor and measure the success of initiatives against company goals.
  • Continuously improve the team’s processes through meaningful contributions.

    • First six months

  • Drive end-to-end delivery of the product, ensure feature parity and high-quality UX, and align with overall strategy.
  • Independently discover new product opportunities for the backlog.
  • Develop a repeatable model for delivering roadmap initiatives.
  • Re-evaluate roadmap alignment with strategic goals and adjust as needed.

    • Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in fintech, payments, or billing systems.
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling payment-related products (billing, payroll, invoicing, FX, reconciliation).
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with exposure to HR tech, payments, or compliance-heavy products.
  • End-to-end product leadership from discovery to launch and iteration.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficient with SQL or spreadsheets for data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with third-party system integrations.
  • Ability to synthesize data into decisions using various tools and methodologies.
  • Customer-centric problem solving with data-driven approaches.
  • Ability to create wireframes and mockups with Design, keeping interfaces simple and clear.
  • Meticulous with a high bar for quality in writing user stories, reviewing designs, and testing features before release.
  • Humility, willingness to learn, and readiness to contribute to goals.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and handle diverse challenges and deadlines.
