Overview About the Junior Electrical Engineer Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our engineering team in developing electrical systems for renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities Assist in designing and developing electrical systems, including preparing consumer lists and single-line diagrams.
Conduct short circuit calculations, voltage drop studies, cables sizing, transformer sizing, lighting system design, UPS load calculations, and protection selectivity and coordination studies.
Generate project specifications and datasheets, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, I&C, integration, and project engineers.
Perform technical reviews of supplier documentation and stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering.
Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in renewable energy and industrial projects, detailed engineering, and construction.
Proficiency in design software : ETAP, Caneco BT, or similar, and AutoCAD 2D.
Knowledge of equipment typically installed in power and industrial plants, such as MV Switchgear, Power transformers, LV Switchgear, UPS, etc.
Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective verbal and written communication skills.
