About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a

Software Engineer — AI & Trading Infrastructure

to design, build, and scale the backbone of our algorithmic trading and SMA execution platform. You’ll work across our stack (Python, React / TypeScript, Django, AWS, APIs, data pipelines) and take responsibility for integrating AI-enhanced tools into real-world research and execution systems. From internal dashboards to trading infrastructure and monitoring tools, you’ll bring ideas to life.

You’ll collaborate daily with our CTO, quant researchers, ML engineers, product, and design teams to turn complex ideas into production-ready systems.

What a Typical Week Might Look Like

Work hand-in-hand with the CTO to architect and scale trading and portfolio infrastructure.

Ship features that integrate AI into investment research, execution workflows, and internal tools.

Build and enhance market data pipelines, optimize execution systems, and connect new venues and data sources.

Develop dashboards, monitoring tools, and fallback mechanisms to ensure smooth, real-time operations.

Join weekly product and strategy sessions with the founding team to align tech priorities with business growth.

Proactively monitor system health, review logs, and improve system resilience.

Test, learn, and iterate based on feedback and evolving research needs.

Key Responsibilities

AI Research Infrastructure

Help design the systems that support multi-agent AI research workflows, enabling autonomous agents to analyze datasets (e.g. from Glassnode), critique insights, and collaborate on structured research outputs.

Backend APIs

Design and implement scalable APIs (REST / WebSocket) connecting AI, trading, and user-facing systems.

Data Infrastructure

Architect and optimize market data ingestion and ETL pipelines, integrating with multiple crypto exchange APIs and on-chain sources.

Cloud-Native Systems

Deploy scalable architectures on AWS (or equivalent) to support high-performance computation and fault-tolerant operations.

Innovation

Stay ahead of trends in trading infra, AI systems, and crypto technologies, applying them to real-world investor needs.

What We’re Looking For

4+ years of software engineering

experience, ideally in a

startup

fast-paced environment .

Experience with

data integration

and building robust ETL / streaming pipelines.

Solid understanding of

cloud platforms

AWS, Azure) and cloud-native architecture.

Experience or strong interest in

building tools and infrastructure

to support

AI-driven research , insight generation, or

agent-based systems.

Ability to work with

complex datasets

and turn them into structured, explainable outputs via automation or ML-driven workflows.

Hands-on experience with

APIs

Familiarity with

DevSecOps

best practices, CI / CD, containerization (Docker / Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code.

Nice to Have

Experience with financial data, trading systems, or quant research platforms.

Familiarity with agent-based architectures and frameworks supporting autonomous research agents

Knowledge of market microstructure, order book modeling, or execution algorithms.

Familiarity with DeFi protocols, blockchain analytics, or on-chain data.

Prior experience building backtesting engines or simulation frameworks.

Compensation

At Iqana, we believe in transparency and competitiveness :

Base Salary Range :

38,000 - €51,000 gross annual + 10% bonus

Equity Package :

Meaningful equity package — share the upside as we grow from Pre-Seed to global scale.

Total Compensation :
