Position Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Sweet Space Museum is responsible for the operational, logistical, and administrative management of the museum, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with the company’s strategic goals. The COO works closely with the executive team to improve operational efficiency, oversee team performance, and guarantee an exceptional visitor experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Operational Management : Supervise all daily operations of the museum, ensuring effective performance in key areas such as customer service, maintenance, security, and logistics.
Process Optimization : Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, implement new strategies, and ensure optimal execution of internal processes.
Team Management : Lead and coordinate the operations, logistics, and HR departments, fostering effective communication and a collaborative work environment.
Strategic Planning : Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to design and execute strategic plans for the museum’s expansion and growth.
Expansion and New Openings : Oversee the planning and execution of new site openings, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
Budget Management : Monitor operating costs, manage resources, and optimize budget use to ensure the museum’s financial sustainability.
Vendor & Partner Coordination : Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and strategic partners to ensure the delivery of essential services and products.
Visitor Experience : Ensure all facilities and services meet quality and safety standards, delivering an outstanding experience to our visitors.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all museum operations comply with legal and safety regulations.
Requirements :
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the cultural, entertainment, or retail sectors.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work in dynamic environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge in business administration, budgeting, and financial control.
Experience in operations, logistics, and strategic planning.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilities.
Advanced level of Spanish and English.
