Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I / II (holding functional title of Data Analyst) in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref. : ) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Responsibilities
The appointee will evaluate public health service, pharmacoepidemiology and epidemiological studies on non-communicable diseases using 3 million population-based cohorts in Hong Kong and 8 million United Kingdom. They will prepare literature reviews; perform data analysis; prepare academic publications and reports for funded projects; and perform tasks assigned by the supervisors. On-the-job training in advanced programming (R and Stata) will be provided. The post will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a research career involving advanced statistical programming and big data cohort analysis.
