System Engineer

Location : Madrid (Work center in Arganda del Rey)

Modality : Hybrid (60% on-site)

Frequent travel : 2–3 short trips per month (1 to 4 days) across European countries

Ready to lead the architecture and engineering of cutting-edge Mission Control Centers for next-gen satellite constellations?

At Exceltic, we are seeking a highly skilled MCC Senior Engineer with deep expertise in satellite systems, payload management, and mission control infrastructure. You will participate in the design, development, and procurement of Mission Control Centers (MCC) for both governmental and commercial space missions.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual design, development, and technical procurement of MCCs, ensuring adaptation for various mission types.
• Conduct systems engineering for MCCs with a focus on :
• Interfaces (technical, data, payload)
• Data and control plane flows
• Payload integration and management
• Define and follow-up on requirements for MCC hardware and software, including interfaces with gateways, satellite control centers, networks, IT infrastructure, and data centers.
• Perform system-level trade-offs and contribute to overall architecture definition.
• Manage requirements engineering using tools like DOORS or JAMA.
• Participate in RFP processes and follow-up on procurement, development, integration, verification, and acceptance phases.
• Support definition of operational procedures, and interface with both internal teams and subcontractors.
