Junior automation qa engineer

At Qaracter, we are looking for a Junior Automation QA Engineer to join an international project in the banking sector. The selected candidates will be part of a global Agile team and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge cloud-native trading platform , focusing on software quality, functional testing, and test automation . Key Responsibilities Collaborate with development teams to design and execute test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts (UI, API, backend). Identify, document, and track software defects until resolution. Contribute to test planning, estimation, and QA process improvements. Stay up to date with the latest QA automation trends, including AI-driven testing tools . Requirements 0–1 year of hands-on experience in software testing (internships, academic projects, or junior role). Knowledge of functional testing methodologies and test case design techniques. Strong interest in test automation with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium . Basic understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. English level B2–C1. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Nice to have : QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB), knowledge of CI / CD pipelines, Git, or modern testing approaches.
