Accounting Specialist

Position: Accounting Specialist

Location: Barcelona

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Record and classify accounting transactions in the general ledger including income expenses assets and liabilities.
  
• Prepare and review balance sheets financial statements and monthly quarterly and annual closing reports.
  
• Reconcile bank accounts and customer and supplier accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  
• Manage invoicing collections and payments ensuring correct VAT application and compliance with tax regulations.
  
• Support the preparation of tax declarations including VAT income tax and corporate tax.
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial documentation in both physical and digital formats.
  
• Collaborate with internal and external audits by providing required accounting data and supporting documents.
  
• Assist with financial forecasting reporting and analysis.
  
• Monitor inventories and fixed assets including relevant accounting entries and adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax regulations and internal company policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Native/Ffluent in Spanish (C1) and advanced level of English (C1).
  
• 23 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role.
  
• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
  
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive improvements
  
• Team-oriented approach with strong collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
