Overview

Step into a role where innovation meets leadership. Pazzi is the world’s first autonomous take-away kitchen, where an automated pizza unit cooks the finest ingredients right before your eyes. With our first store opening in Spain, we’re bringing our concept to the public and defining the operational standard for future franchisees in EMEA, delivering a next-generation experience to pizza-lovers across Madrid.

We are building our maintenance branch : the organisation that will keep every robot running, every customer supported, and every franchise successful. This branch will be the cornerstone of operational excellence, and we are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to bring it to life.

Role Description

Seconded by a Software Engineer, you will work towards the creation and operation of our Maintenance branch. As its Maintenance Engineer , you will be the versatile player able to troubleshoot hardware, automation, control systems, and basic software, whilst keeping an overview on project evolution.

In the early stage, you will learn to understand our technology inside-out while providing direct technical support in our first restaurant. This hands-on experience will help you structure maintenance processes to guarantee optimised uptime. Over time, you will build and lead the team that supervises maintenance operations.

In time, your mission will be to establish and pilot the maintenance branch that guarantees full-time robot availability, delivers hands-on and remote support to franchisees, and anticipates technical and operational challenges. The branch will support both B2B and B2C.

You would be perfect for the role if you are eager to build, take ownership, and become a central figure of both operations and innovation. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you’ll make defining decisions that shape the strategy of a keystone in our business model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a holistic understanding of our autonomous pizza-making unit and troubleshoot operational failures linked to hardware.
  • Define and execute the maintenance operating model (preventive / reactive processes, escalation flows) from scratch, building toward a unit able to supervise multiple sites and provide efficient support to our Pazzirias.
  • Build and lead the maintenance team as it scales from a handful of staff to a branch focused on operations.
  • Deliver direct technical guidance to franchise staff through live remote support and hardware data monitoring.
  • Analyse data for preventive maintenance.
  • Act as a technical bridge between operations and R&D, contributing field insights to technology optimisation and next-gen design.

Role Timeline

Onboarding : Your onboarding will happen as our technology is being fitted out in our Madrid store. You will be able to see things in detail and learn quickly.

Opening : The world will soon get a taste of our PAZZI's pizzas. Once the store opens, you will liaise with our factory engineers to troubleshoot on-site failures and begin conceptualising and building the maintenance branch.

PAZZI's roll-out : After the flagship store launches, you will shift focus toward scaling the maintenance model into a network of Pazzerias across Europe and the Middle East, ensuring operational excellence and consistent standards at new locations.

Business-as-usual : PAZZI is a start-up with ambitious goals, offering opportunities to take on new challenges and contribute to the next wave of initiatives. Your role will grow with the company.
