This newly created Madrid-based position will manage the controls, processes and risks in the Business Operations team across GMNS Continental Europe operations (the “Business”), within the legal entity American Express Payments Europe, S.L (“AEPE” or “Legal Entity”).
The role will support to the Business Operations Manager to be the business point of contact for repatriated markets, supporting Payfac implementation and regulatory reporting teams, playing an active role in partner oversight and risk assessment. This position will track and lead Operational Risk Events (OREs), Issues and Events that have a multimarket scope, as well as aid with Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) uplifting and design. Additionally, reporting and tracking tasks will be an important part of this role.
How will you make an impact in this role?
It is essential that candidate has a solid understanding of American Express’ systems and procedures, knowledge of the Business, risk management and strong project management skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships and to influence delivery and outcomes at multiple levels of the organization.
The new role will be part of the Business Operations team and as such will work closely with key stakeholders across : Partner teams, Client Management, Control Management, Operational Risk, Internal Audit Group.
The role combines responsibilities across Continental Europe and RCSA & Process Support, with a strong emphasis on cross-market coordination and control management.
