Main responsibilities
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback before building.
Create detailed, comprehensive, well-structured test plans and cases to structure the testing process.
Provide estimates, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities to align with the development cycle.
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
Identify, record, document thoroughly, of things that are not working well so that developers can work effectively to resolve them.
Perform thorough regression testing to check that bugs or fixes are appropriately resolved.
Take a user-centered approach and make sure that requirements and tests cover the right things so the results are usable and in line with UX Standards.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers, product managers, product owners, Digital Quality) to identify system requirements, including those required to meet applicable quality, regulatory (Data Privacy, GxP, SOX, etc.) and cybersecurity standards.
Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
