Senior Engineer in Test role at The Knot Worldwide — join to apply.

The Knot Worldwide is hiring a Senior Engineer in Test to join a highly motivated team. The right engineer will enjoy fast paced collaboration with product and design in an Agile environment to ensure high quality responsive web and mobile features for our vendors. This role will focus on products in the Vendor Zone, iterating on innovative features that enable vendors to effectively manage their businesses across our US and International brands.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that features are high-quality by building test strategies, writing and executing test plans, and communicating with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
  • Leverage skills and experience to develop backend automated tests to ensure product quality.
  • Manually test new features and bug fixes before incorporating them into automated test suites.
  • Interface with teams in coordinating API automation tests and manual regression testing for every production release.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process.
  • Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc.
  • Support multiple squad initiatives by following agile practices.

Successful Candidates Have

  • Proven knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Clear and concise documentation around QA deliverables, risks, and UX impacts.
  • Experience with modern UI test frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
  • Experience leading teams and projects in an Agile, TDD environment working on responsive features.
  • Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar.
  • Familiarity with mobile testing, either on native apps or simulators like Browserstack.
  • Familiarity with AWS / Kubernetes / Docker concepts and technology is a plus.
