Job Title : Lead Automation Engineer - Senior

Location :  Remote /  Asturias, Spain (partially remote until 2026 / 2027)

Industry : Battery Component Manufacturing for EVs

Overview :

Join a cutting-edge project to develop a state-of-the-art factory producing sustainable, high-performance battery materials for electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the automation team in designing, installing, testing, and commissioning factory systems.
• Ensure seamless integration with other engineering disciplines.
• Develop maintenance and reliability programs for automation systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
• Ensure compliance with industry, safety, and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support during equipment procurement.

Requirements :

Technical : Master’s in Automation / Electrical Engineering or related field, 7+ years in automation, expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial tools.

Non-Technical : Strong leadership and project management, fluent in Spanish and English, structured and proactive approach.

Certifications : Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience; SCC / VCA certification required.

Details :

Contract : Long-term (initially until 2025).

Travel : Up to 10% (mainly within Spain and internationally).

Rate : Market-competitive (all-in).

Start Date : ASAP (notice periods considered).
