About the role

We are seeking a proactive Content Outsourcing Specialist with experience in managing external vendors, particularly freelance writers, who can handle both content-based details and billing and payment tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and proven experience in coordinating content projects within a marketing department.

YOUR MISSION / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with external / freelance vendors, handling briefs and billing / payment details, as well as in-house specialists with diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders (Editors, Content Strategists, Accounts Payable specialists, and more) to gather requirements / briefs that external providers must deliver, ensuring timelines, budgets, formats, and billing accuracy.
  • Handle new vendor selection processes to find additional external vendors / providers for different projects and markets / languages.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in vendor management and the quality of deliverables.
  • Analyze and optimize workflows and processes for efficient outsourcing of content creation and optimization.
  • Stay curious about the use / adoption of new technologies, including AI and automation tools to streamline processes and elevate deliverables.
  • Maintain the ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously while upholding quality standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in managing external vendors or freelancers, preferably in content creation or content optimization.
  • Experience managing vendor invoicing and payment processes; familiarity with freelance platforms for communication and payment scheduling (weekly / monthly).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines proactively.
  • Experience in handling / developing content briefs, providing clear instructions to freelance writers / authors, and conducting selection processes for freelancers based on project-specific requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High proficiency in English with strong writing skills. Spanish is a plus.
  • Understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices.
  • Passionate about content quality and achieving marketing goals.
  • Excellent time management skills, including prioritizing and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Interest in finding cost-effective solutions when dealing with external vendors of all kinds.
  • Familiarity with or interest in AI-powered content tools and a willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies.
  • Bonus : experience using SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, or Google Search Console; understanding of SEO principles and content optimization strategies.

    Location

    You will have the flexibility to choose between coming to the office, visiting occasionally, or working fully remote. Our office is in Barcelona’s Blue Building, by the seafront, with perks such as free fruit, snacks, and coffee.
