This position is based at our Luxembourg headquarters and requires regular office presence. The EIB offers you the opportunity to live and work in a truly international and multi-cultural environment. We also offer relocation support. The EIB , the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Secretariat General Directorate (SG), Communication Department (COM), Media Division (MEDIA) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Head of Media Division

This is a full time position at grade 7 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

Assessment Centres for selected applicants would take place in September / October.

Panel interviews are anticipated for October / November.

Purpose

You will lead the EIB Group’s engagement with national and international media, driving visibility, credibility, and public understanding and support of the Bank’s mission and impact across the EU and globally. You will be in charge of a team of about 30 press officers based in Luxembourg and in EU and worldwide offices. As a member of the Communication Department’s senior management team, you will play a key role in shaping the EIB Group’s communication strategy and institutional messaging, ensuring alignment with its evolving priorities as the European Union’s financing arm, and in ensuring consistent messaging across channels.

Operating Network

You will report to the Director of Communications. Internal contacts include EIB Group Management Committee members, senior management, experts, and staff from all EIB and EIF departments, and close coordination with other managers and teams in the communications department. External contacts include peers in EU institutions and International Financial Institutions, and European, international and national media.
