We are partnering with a major global retail group with an international IT Hub based in Barcelona. This tech hub develops high-value IT solutions for multiple business units across Europe and supports millions of customers worldwide.

We are looking for a Python Solutions Engineer (Automation) with strong expertise in building automation solutions, governance, security, and cross-functional collaboration.

Role Overview

As a Python Solutions Engineer (Automation), you will design and implement automation frameworks and solutions that streamline complex processes across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders, DevOps teams, security specialists, and leadership to drive automation initiatives and define best practices for Python development.

Your Responsibilities

• Build Solutions : Design, develop, test, and deploy secure and maintainable Python applications to automate complex workflows.
• Set Standards : Architect foundational automation frameworks and reusable components for other teams.
• Own the Pipeline : Implement and manage full CI / CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, JFrog Artifactory, SonarCube, Snyk, etc.) and Ensure reliable delivery of high-quality, tested code.
• Version Control Leadership : Enforce Git best practices for branching, reviews, and repository management.
• Business Partnership : Work directly with business units to identify automation opportunities and translate needs into technical requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Be the main technical contact for internal stakeholders (security, infrastructure / ops, development teams).
• Strategic Guidance : Advise leadership on automation strategy, best practices, and risk management.
• Python Governance : Define and enforce governance and security standards for Python development across the organization.
• Security Champion : Conduct code reviews, implement security best practices, and ensure all solutions meet strict security standards.
• Knowledge Sharing : Document solutions and processes to build a shared internal knowledge base.
