N-iX is looking for a Lead Automation QA Engineer to join our team.
Our client handles a desktop & web-based graphical application that allows you to create beautiful timelines Gantt charts and roadmaps in your browser and export them as PowerPoint slides
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust validation linting and QA workflows to ensure the syntactic correctness, logic integrity, and coverage quality of detection rules before they are delivered to customer systems
- Assist the development team in creating and managing data required for testing and validating user stories and bugs
- Review and analyze automated test cases and results to identify gaps and areas for improvement
- Perform manual exploratory testing of front-end functionality after deployments in the production environment
- Develop and implement non-functional testing strategies such as performance and security testing with the development team
- Document and update QA processes, test plans, and product quality strategies to ensure alignment across the team
- Review business requirements to write test cases and test plans; identify and document all levels of testing including functional, integration, user acceptance, and exploratory
- Build and execute automated test cases
Requirements
5 years of professional experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automationExperience in C# or C-based languageHands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks with the ability to independently utilize and extend existing frameworksExperience with CI / CD pipelines (Azure DevOps GitHub Actions) and test integration into release workflowsStrong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processesStrong understanding of maintainable test automation architectureHands-on experience on desktop automationExperience in VSTOProficiency in creating test cases in BDD / TDD (Behavior-Driven Development / Test-Driven Development) language (e.g. Gherkin)Experience with test automation tools and frameworks for integration and E2E testing (both back-end and front-end)Knowledge of non-functional testing strategies (e.g. performance, security)Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and CI / CD pipelinesStrong ability to analyze and debug issues in collaboration with development teamsAbility to identify root causes of defects and implement preventative measuresStrong communication skills to support PO in defining acceptance criteria for user storiesExperience with manual exploratory testing for scenarios not covered by automationKnowledge of smoke / sanity testing processes in production environmentsAbility to monitor quality metrics and regression pipeline resultsProficiency in reporting automated test statuses and incidents to the teamSkilled in maintaining documentation around quality assurance processes and lead quality for the productAbility to align testing strategy with the teams delivery goalsUpper-Intermediate English levelWe offer
