ROLE : Senior FPGA Engineer (Emulation & Prototyping)

I'm recruiting for a world-class technology client seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer for their core R&D team.
This is a high-impact role focused on building and scaling advanced FPGA emulation platforms for complex IP cores, including RISC-V. You will be the crucial link between hardware IP and software / firmware development, enabling the entire company to validate and demonstrate next-generation products.
Key Responsibilities :
- Integrate complex RTL IP cores into large-scale FPGA emulation environments.
- Solve challenging timing closure and resource utilization problems on high-capacity FPGAs.
- Design custom RTL modules to optimize I / O and performance for prototyping systems.
- Collaborate directly with software / firmware teams to define and implement new emulation features.
- Develop and support client-facing demonstration platforms.
Essential Requirements :
7+ years of industrial FPGA design experience.BS / MS / PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Expertise with Xilinx Vivado (or Altera Quartus) and Verilog / SystemVerilog.Mastery of timing / placement constraints (SDC).Strong knowledge of AXI, I2C, SPI, and UART protocols.Proficient in TCL and Bash scripting for FPGA automation.Skilled with Linux environments and Git.Familiarity with C / C++ and Python.Valued Bonus Skills :
Experience with high-end FPGAs (e.g., Xilinx Virtex Ultrascale+).Knowledge of high-speed protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, Aurora) or CHI.Experience with simulation tools (ModelSim / Questa) or lab-based hardware debugging.
